Play For Purpose

We have partnered with Play for Purpose to raise funds for our club. They are a 100% not-for-profit raffle that helps raises funds for Aussie charities and sporting clubs.

A minimum of 50% of every $10 ticket going directly to the club cause. The other $5 funds the amazing prizes that customers can win. How good is that?

Blues Union Netball Club

Our motto - #funbeforewinning

Blues Union Netball Club was established in 1990. We train and play at Pinklands Sporting Complex Thornlands.

Joining a netball club can be a rewarding and enriching experience for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. This fast-paced, non-contact sport offers a fantastic opportunity to foster teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. By becoming a part of a netball team, you can build lasting friendships and a sense of camaraderie while being physically active and having fun!

Netball teaches valuable life skills such as discipline, strategic thinking, and adaptability, which can be applied both on and off the court. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a newcomer to sports, netball provides an inclusive and supportive environment for personal growth and development. With the chance to participate in friendly local leagues or even compete at higher levels in state competitions, playing netball is an exciting journey!

About Blues Union Netball Club

Our extraordinary journey began in 1990 when the visionary Catherine Sharpe and a dedicated team of volunteers breathed life into this remarkable community. As one of the founding clubs for Redlands Netball Association, the Club's roots run deep, with games initially held at Cleveland High School in the Redlands Coast region of Brisbane, Queensland. Today, our passion for netball continues to flourish as we proudly train and play at Pinklands Sporting Complex in Thornlands

What truly sets us apart is the invaluable presence of our esteemed Life Member, Michael Clarke, whose unwavering dedication since 1999 has touched every facet of our club's growth. From serving as the Umpire Convenor to being a trusted Mentor and Teacher, his contributions have been nothing short of inspiring.

Embracing the spirit of collaboration, Blues Union Netball Club wholeheartedly supports and partners with local businesses to nurture and elevate our players and members. Our commitment extends beyond the court as we actively engage with the surrounding community, creating a positive impact in the very place we call home.

None of this would be possible without our outstanding volunteers, the heart and soul of our club. Their tireless efforts transform Blues Union Netball Club into a warm and inviting space, where everyone is welcomed with open arms. Join our netball family, where sportsmanship, camaraderie, and personal growth unite, weaving a tapestry of unforgettable moments on and off the court.
